The bill (Reg. No. 2233) suggests strengthen legal basis to exempt the Ministry of Justice from paying the court fee. Particularly, the bill stipulates amending article 5 of the Law “On Court Fee”, under which the Ministry of Justice is exempted from paying the court fee “for filing lawsuits on behalf of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine”.
It was said that the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat made a number of remarks to the draft law and deems that the legislative initiative to exempt the Ministry of Justice from paying the court fee does not fully comply with clause 2 of part three of article 129 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
